If you have more than one restorative issue with your smile, you may need more substantial treatment. To completely transform a person’s smile, we may suggest a full mouth reconstruction. Using a variety of general, cosmetic, and restorative procedures, we can address multiple problems with a smile’s function and appearance. What issues will your reconstruction address?
Missing Teeth: If you have lost one or more teeth we can provide replacement options as part of your reconstruction. We may suggest a dental bridge or possibly a dental implant to address a single missing tooth. We also offer full and partial dentures. For a fixed denture, we can secure them with lifelike dental implants.
TMJ/Bruxism: We will also look at your jaw joints. Damaged restorations, misalignment, and tooth loss can all strain the joints, making the onset of TMJ disorder and bruxism more likely. Patients can then experience trouble opening and closing their mouth, or suffer from toothaches due to persistent teeth grinding.
Damaged Teeth: If you have cracked or broken teeth, we can improve them with a restoration. Using CEREC technology, we can create and place natural looking crowns, inlays, and onlays in the same visit. We can also use dental bonding and composite fillings to repair teeth in one sitting as well.
Discoloration: For teeth stains, we can use teeth whitening to brighten your smile or veneers to mask permanent discoloration. The treatment we recommend will depend on the cause and severity of your teeth stains.
Misalignment: If you have any uneven smile we can discuss orthodontic treatment. As a less noticeable alternative to metal braces, we can recommend Invisalign. This system uses a series of clear plastic aligners to reposition the teeth.
