How Can Braces Be Invisible?
Invisalign is not exactly the same things as braces. The system consists of a series of alignment trays that fit snugly and are clear enough to be virtually invisible. Three-dimensional computer imaging will allow you a sneak preview of how your appearance will change with straightened teeth. Measurements and impressions of your teeth will be sent to an Invisalign laboratory. Treatment time usually takes about a year for the average patient. You’ll be instructed to switch to the next set of customized aligners every two or three weeks. To make sure that everything’s on track, you will visit Dr. Engelberg every 6 weeks or so to make sure that everything is going smoothly with your invisible “braces.”
